Recycling metals from IBA
Efficient waste-handling is key for a well-functioning circular economy. Our solution is ideal for recovering valuable metals for recycling from incinerator bottom ash that comes from burning municipal waste. This lessens the need for mining of virgin metals and saves CO2 emissions.
Less emissions in the steel industry
Magsort helps the steel industry reduce CO2 emissions with efficient recycling of steel from steel slag. The steel industry is one of the largest emitters of CO2 emissions globally. As steel can be recycled almost infinitely, efficient recycling is key for decarbonising the industry.
Decarbonising concrete production
Once the steel has been recovered from steel slag, the residual material is suitable to be used as cement substitute in concrete production. As cement production gives rise to large amounts of CO2 emissions due to the calcification process, finding ways to omit this phase will substantially decrease global CO2 emissions.
